The FINANCIAL — Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility, has been the pioneer in undertaking safety measures and initiatives to ensure smooth running of its operations for their customers' safety and convenience.
According to Tata, continuing with this tradition, the company has initiated pre-monsoon checks and implemented preventive maintenance of equipments at both distribution sub-stations and consumer sub-stations.
Tata Power has installed adequate number of de-watering pumps at all distribution and consumer sub-stations to avoid flooding. To handle emergencies, vehicles with necessary equipment and dedicated teams are kept on stand-by at strategic locations across the city. Adequate stock of essential spare parts, tools and equipment, including transformers and switchgears, has been ensured to minimize the response time towards power interruptions.
Speaking on the initiative, S Padmanabhan, executive director, operations, Tata Power said, “The monsoon has set in and the company has ensured that all the safety precautions are maintained, from adequate de-watering pumps and essential spare parts and tools that may be needed. We also wish to advice our customers to take necessary precautions that can help them have a safe and enjoyable monsoon.”
