International Women’s Day – 8 March – is also respected at the United Nations and observed as a holiday in many countries. It has slowly become a day for men to express their heartfelt love to the women in their lives as is done on Mother’s Day and St Valentine’s Day.
TAV Georgia joined the world community in celebrating International Women’s Day by arranging a special event for arriving passengers. Male employees of the company waited for the passengers of the flights on the night of 8 March in the Arrivals hall of the terminal and gave out beautiful bouquets of roses to all women passengers to congratulate them on International Women’s Day, a particular day of the year for women of the whole world.
When arriving in Georgia and landing in Tbilisi, TAV Georgia was the first who greeted and congratulated all women passengers of all flights on the night of 8 March.
“We would like to put attention on the female passengers arriving from various cities of the world at night-time and make a nice surprise for them in Tbilisi International Airport. On this special day for all women we are the first to meet and greet them with flowers. Congratulating female passengers this way, I think is a great opportunity to prove that together with the whole world TAV Georgia remembers and cares for women,” said Mr. Mete Erkal, General Manager of TAV Georgia.
