The FINANCIAL — Tbilisi hosted the annual conference of Ukraine’s leading banks and financial organizations, Banking Activity Automation. 70 people from Ukraine arrived in Tbilisi for the meeting. Georgian IT specialists attended the conference as well.
The conference is being organized by CS, the leading automation systems developer for banks in Ukraine. It is annually held in different countries.
“We know that the banking sector in Georgia is developing fast. We read about the country in Forbes. We also know about the renowned hospitality of the country. That’s why we decided to hold the conference here. We can offer the latest banking systems and technologies to Georgians as well,” said Dimitry Darchenko, one of the Directors of CS.
“The conference is a great opportunity for information exchange, summing up the results and sharing the perspectives of development in the direction of the banking system, automation for us and our clients,” Dimitry Darchenko added.
“We always improve our products, as new systems and the latest versions of well known technologies are constantly appearing. And we want everyone to see our development. Our main aim is to show our products to other companies and other countries. This time we want to demonstrate it to Georgian banks. We are showing Georgians our analytic systems as well. It will be good if they like them and implement such products in Georgia. But we are ready for criticism as well. Adequate criticism will help us to develop better,” said Oleg Viazmitonov, the Director of CS.
“I think that the Georgian and Ukrainian banking sectors are somehow developing similarly,” he added. “We advise you to implement an automation system of banks like we have in Ukraine.”
CS representatives appreciated the Ukrainian banking sector and said that the system is developing quite well.
“75 percent of banking capital is foreign. We have Russian and European investments in the sector. But in recent times foreign investments have been decreasing. In spite of that in general the banking sector is developing adequately in Ukraine. The currency is quite stable. General trust toward banks is quite high as well,” said Andrey Boychuk, the Director of CS.
