The FINANCIAL — A 15-year-old teenagers miraculously survived after he fell 16 floors down of an apartment block in Auckland, New Zealand Herald reported, according to RIA Novosti.
According to the newspaper, the boy was playing on the balcony and suddenly fell out of it crashing through the roof of a parking lot before hitting a concrete floor.
Doctors at the Middlemore Hospital, where the boy was rushed after the falling, said it was a miracle as the teenager only suffered a broken wrist, a broken rib, a gouged leg and internal injuries.
Witnesses say the sound from the impact after the 40-50 meters (130-165 feet) plunge was so strong that at first people thought it was a car crash.
Jason Epps-Eades, the manager of the residential apartment block, said the roof of the parking lot probably saved his life.
"He's going to be okay. It's just incredible that he survived," Epps-Eades was quoted as saying.
