The FINANCIAL — Company Tegeta Motors has opened its brand new service centre in Poti, designated for international transit companies.
The service centre is due to service long vehicles (trucks) although it will also assist normal cars. As company representatives claim – 24 hour mobile service, diagnostics, and spare parts will enable them to provide the best service in the region to their clients. This service centre will satisfy the demands of all social segments.
Until today, such a European quality service centre did not exist in Georgia. It stretches over 11,000 square metres. Overall investment in the project was 5 million, from EBRD.
The new service centre in Poti will employ 44 people, all of them local residents who have gone through trainings at the company’s central office in Tbilisi.
“Implementation of the Poti project has strategic importance as it’s on the main transit line in the Trans-Caucasus hence the service centre is not only for Georgia but also for the entire region – Black Sea and Caspian Sea countries. This will also be a guarantee of Tegeta Motors’s expansion to Armenia and Azerbaijan where the construction of new service centers are planned for 2011-12.
The free industrial zone which is near the location of the service centre also increases the importance of the project. The service centre and similar projects will also play a role in attracting foreign investment to this part of the country.
Demand for quality auto services is rapidly increasing due to the expansion of the Port of Poti, construction of highways, airports and infrastructure in general. Hence we’re ready to satisfy all demand,” believe company representatives.
