The FINANCIAL — TeliaSonera said its profit for the third quarter increased from the same quarter last year, supported by higher sales. Further, the firm cut its EBITDA outlook for the year, according to Nasdaq.
Attributable net income climbed 12.7 percent to 4.6 billion Swedish kronor from 4.1 billion kronor earned in the previous year. Earnings per share advanced to 1.06 kronor from 0.94 krona.
Net sales grew 6.3 percent to 27.03 billion kronor from 25.42 billion kronor in the prior year. Excluding acquisitions and disposals, net sales in local currencies rose 2.4 percent.
Looking ahead to 2015, the company expects adjusted EBITDA, in local currencies, to be slightly below the prior-year level.
The company had said in July that it expects group EBITDA, on a local organic basis and excluding synergies in Norway, to remain around last year’s level.
