The FINANCIAL — Terrorism now tops the list of most important problems facing the US today (19%), narrowly passing healthcare (17%) and leaving the economy a distant third (10%).
President Trump’s approval rating is at 35% which represents his low in the Reuters/Ipsos polling. In the latest state-by-state breakdown of the President’s approval, the High West and Deep South continue to be bastions of support while the West Coast and Northeast are highly hostile.
In the latest Reuters/Ipsos ‘Wh-Exit’ poll, Jeff Sessions reemerges on top of the list (19%) of Executive Branch employees that American’s predict will be terminated or resign next. Last week’s frontrunner, Rex Tillerson, has dropped four points to second place, now at 11%. Both are distantly followed by Chief of Staff John Kelly (9%).
As Congress begins to dissect the newly proposed Republican tax plan, individual approval of Congress has dropped slightly (now at 38%, down from 44%). Still the most unpopular branch, Congress as a whole receives only 21% approval, including just 29% among Republicans.
