The FINANCIAL — Tetnuldi and Hatsvali skiing zones in Svaneti are now officially opened. Skiing tracks are available from 10 AM to 16 PM daily and the safety will be provided by the Rescue Service and the Mountain Patrol.
There are 5 lifts in Tetnuldi (4 chair-lifts and one rope lift). Overall length of the skiing track is 30 kilometers and it is designed for the skiers of any proficiency.
As the experts clime, the capacity of the resorts allows to accommodate 6 806 tourists. The skiing complex itself can host up to 4 100 visitors at a time. The skiing period in Tetnuldi last 6-7 months but it is a four-season resort that receives guests all the year round, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
Hatsvali is located in 8 kilometers from Mestia and offers its guests 5 skiing tracks of 7 km total length. The tracks are suited for the beginners as well as the provisional skiers. At this point one open chair lift is available, while the cable-way connecting Mestia to Hatsvali will be opened on December 23, this year.
The new cableway of the world-know Doppelmayr is a 6-seat open air chairlift which is spread over 1200m. Mestia-Hatsvali chairlift will connect the Hatsvali Skiing Zone with the center of Mestia.
