The FINANCIAL — The "Air France Experience", an exclusive Street Marketing operation organized last June with the agency Wellcommunication in Toulouse, was awarded the Strategy prize on 5 December.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the regional base in Toulouse in June, Air France launched a unique experience in the Pink City to win air tickets and other gifts. For a week, the people of the Midi-Pyrénées region were invited to go to a place kept secret at first and then revealed on the Air France Facebook page. Once there, participants were able to discover the destinations served by Air France from Toulouse in an original way. Sitting in the street on sun loungers, a wireless headset on their head, these passengers experienced a virtual flight simulation over the new destinations.
As Air France said, this operation was a double success: firstly virtual, creating a buzz on the social networks, then real, by offering a fun and much appreciated experience. Two hundred people took part in the event, which was attended by tens of thousands of spectators.
