The FINANCIAL — On 23 September 2015, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Gigi Gigiadze met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium to Georgia Carine Petit (residing in Baku).
Discussions focused on a broad spectrum of bilateral and multilateral co-operation and prospects for its further development, including, inter alia, the process of Georgia’s integration with the European and Euro-Atlantic structures, the importance of visa liberalisation to Georgia and the success that has already been achieved in this direction. Talking points also included regional security issues and the situation in Georgia’s occupied territories.
The sides devoted special attention to bilateral meetings due to be held on the sidelines of the  seventieth session of the United Nations General Assembly, as well as to the forthcoming visit of Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili to Brussels, on 8 October, according to MFA Georgia.
The Deputy Foreign Minister thanked the Ambassador for the Belgian Government’s support for Georgia.
