The FINANCIAL — On 29 May 2015, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Gigi Gigiadze met Deputy Head of EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM) Erik Hoeeg. Gigi Gigiadze congratulated Erik Hoeeg on his appointment and wished him every success in his future work.
Talking points included the current situation in Georgia’s occupied regions in terms of security and human rights and the outcomes of implementation of the so-called “treaties between Russia and the occupation regimes of Sokhumi and Tskhinvali region. In this context, the Georgian side once again underlined the importance of the EUMM and welcomed the extension of EUMM mandate for two years.
Erik Hoeeg was informed on the priorities of co-operation between the EU and Georgia, according to MFA Georgia.
