The FINANCIAL — On 30 June 2016, the Georgian Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania and member of the European Parliament Kati Piri (Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats), according to MFA of Georgia.
Talking points included Georgia’s political association and economic integration with the European Union. Kati Piri underlined progress Georgia has achieved in the implementation of VLAP and expressed the support for Georgia during the current committee hearings at the European Parliament. Discussions also focused on the democratic reforms in the country and on the importance of the visa liberalisation between Georgia and the European Union. Â
