The FINANCIAL — On 9 February 2016, Georgian Foreign Minister David Dondua met Head of Delegation in Georgia of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Biljana Milošević and ICRC’s regional coordinator for the missing persons issue Lina Milner.
Talking points included the implemented and current projects of the ICRC in Georgia, according to MFA of Georgia.
David Dondua thanked the ICRC representatives for their activities in Georgia and underlined the effectiveness of the bipartite “Coordination Mechanism for persons missing in connection with the Georgia-Abkhazia conflict”. The Deputy Foreign Minister welcomed the restoration of the tripartite “Coordination Mechanism” in the Tskhinvali region and expressed his hope that the successful functioning of the aforesaid format will facilitate the process of confidence building and reconciliation between the war-torn communities.
The ICRC representatives expressed their readiness to promote the improvement of the humanitarian situation in the conflict-affected territories.
