The FINANCIAL — On 7 September 2015, Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister David Dondua met Chairman of the Defence Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament David Kadner and other members of the Committee who arrived in Georgia for a working visit from 6 to 10 September 2015. Deputy Defence Minister of the Czech Republic Tomáš Kuchta was also present at the meeting.
The sides discussed priorities of Georgia’s foreign policy, issues relating to bilateral and multilateral cooperation and prospects for its further development. Special attention was focused on the need to strengthen bilateral links and the importance to exchange high-level visits, according to MFA Georgia.
Talking points also included Georgia’s integration with the NATO. David Dondua provided the Czech parliamentarians with information regarding the steps that have been taken towards the implementation of the NATO’s Substantial Package and thanked them for their involvement in the implementation process of the elements of the package.
The Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister acquainted the representatives of the Defence Committee with priority issues on the European integration agenda. Special attention was paid to the importance of implementing the Association Agreement and timely finalizing the visa dialogue with the European Union.
Special accent was placed on such important issues as Georgia’s territorial integrity and the humanitarian and security situation in the occupied territories of Georgia.
The Czech delegation reaffirmed the Czech Government’s firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its integration with the European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
