The FINANCIAL — On 15 July 2015, Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister David Dondua met Public Affairs Officer of the U.S. Embassy to Georgia Courtney Austrian, according to MFA Georgia.
Discussions focused on important issues relating to bilateral relations, existing challenges and aspects of the ongoing processes. The sides emphasized the importance of an agreement reached on 14 July 2015 over Iran’s nuclear programme within the P5+1 format.
The sides also discussed the recent developments along the boundary line of Georgia’s occupied territories, in particular, the illegal placement of banners by the Russian occupying forces on 10 July marking the so-called “border” on the territory adjacent to the village of Tsitelubani of Gori municipality and the village of Orchosani in occupied Akhalgori district in close vicinity to the Tbilisi-Gori central highway.
Courtney Austrian reaffirmed the U.S. government’s firm support for the territorial integrity of Georgia.
