The FINANCIAL — On 26 October 2015, Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met Romanian Foreign Ministry’s State Secretary for Strategic Affairs Daniel loniţă, who arrived in Tbilisi for a two-day visit to participate in the Georgian Defence and Security Conference (GDSC).
Discussions focused on prospects of developing the bilateral economic relations. Particular emphasis was put on the implementation of the energy and transport projects. The two sides underlined the importance of restoration of the ferry service between Constanta and Batumi in October 2014.
Mikheil Janelidze thanked Daniel loniţă for the active participation in the implementation of the Substantial Package and for the contribution to the EU Monitoring Mission, according to MFA of Georgia.
Daniel loniţă in turn reaffirmed Romania’s support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
