The FINANCIAL — On 24 February 2016, Georgian First Deputy Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani took part in the UNDP 50th anniversary Ministerial Meeting, according to MFA of Georgia.
At the thematic session titled ‘Preventing Violent Conflict, Building Peaceful Societies” David Zalkaliani focused on the current situation in Georgia’s occupied territories and on challenges facing the country. Addressing the audience, the First Deputy Minister spoke about the importance of the UNDP in Georgia and about the need to get international community involved in the process of peaceful conflict resolution. The Georgian sides reaffirmed its readiness to exert every effort for peaceful conflict resolution and for improvement of democratization process in the country.
