The FINANCIAL — Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze attended the farewell reception held in honour for the departing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Georgia Sándor Szabó who completed his term of office in Georgia.
Mikheil Janelidze thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to the strengthening of relations between the two countries, according to MFA of Georgia.
Mikheil Janelidze spoke about the traditionally friendly relations between Georgia and Hungary highlighting the increasing dynamic of interaction in various areas and the people-to-people contacts, which, according to the Minister, are further encouraged by direct flights from Kutaisi to Budapest operated by the Wizz Air Company. Mikheil Janelidze underlined the importance of establishing an inter-governmental economic co-operation commission. He also paid special attention to the successful cooperation in the area of education and thanked the Hungarian side for the exchange programmes and scholarships offered ro Georgian students. The Georgian Foreign Minister also thanked Sándor Szabó for Hungary’s support of Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration.
