The FINANCIAL — Within the framework of the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze held a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart, Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov. Mikheil Janelidze and Daniel Mitov spoke about the partner relations and successful co-operation between Bulgaria and Georgia.
Daniel Mitov reaffirmed Bulgaria’s support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations and underlined the work Georgia has done in the process of visa liberalization process, which deserves to be completed successfully and in due time, according to MFA of Georgia.
The two Ministers discussed issues relating to the co-operation in the NATO frames. Mikheil Janelidze thanked Daniel Mitov for Bulgaria’s active practical support in strengthening Georgia’s defence capability. The Georgian Foreign Minister welcomed the fact that the Embassy of Bulgaria will act as NATO Contact Point Embassy in Georgia next year.
The two Ministers highlighted the current security environment in the Black Sea region and the ongoing developments in Georgia’s occupied territories.
Mikheil Janelidze and Daniel Mitov expressed their readiness to promote the further enhancement of relations and co-operation between their two countries, particularly, in the spheres of international transportation, trade, tourism and culture.
