The FINANCIAL — On 10 March 2016, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Georgia Yuval Fuchs, according to MFA of Georgia.
Discussions focused on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between the countries, as well as on plans for the future. The sides expressed their readiness to intensify relations and to make maximum use of a huge potential of developing co-operation between the two countries inter alia in the spheres of economy and culture. The positive dynamics of the increasing flow tourist between Georgia and Israel, and the importance of enhancing the co-operation and sharing the experience between the sectoral institutions have been underlined.
Mikheil Janelidze and Yuval Fuchs also discussed the existing global challenges in the region, the Middle East and in the world as a whole.
The Israeli side was informed on the heavy situation in Georgia’s occupied territories, on the crawling annexation and on the adoption of new discriminatory regulations on ethnic Georgians, aggravating the humanitarian situation in the occupied regions.
Yuval Fuchs reaffirmed Israel’s strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
