The FINANCIAL — On 4 July 2016, Georgian Foreign Minister Giorgi Janelidze met the permanent representatives of the Republic of Latvia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, the Republic of Finland, the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Sweden to the OSCE and the OSCE PA Special Representative in Vienna.
Discussions focused on the co-operation between the OSCE and Georgia. Mikheil Janelidze informed the guests on the heavy humanitarian situation in Georgia’s occupied territories, according to MFA of Georgia.
Talking points also included the Geneva International Discussions and the importance of peaceful settlement of the conflict between Georgia and Russia. The sides underlined the significance of adoption of the resolution “Conflict in Georgia” initiated by Georgia within the 25th annual session of OSCE PA.
Mikheil Janelidze also spoke about the upcoming October elections and underlined the importance of conducting fair and transparent elections for the process of democratisation of Georgia.
The OSCE Ambassadors in turn reaffirmed their support for Georgia and expressed the readiness to strengthen co-operation within the OSCE.
The OSCE Ambassadors are paying official visit to Georgia to attend the OSCE PA 25th session.
