The FINANCIAL — Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met the representatives of the Visegrad Group (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic) in the frames of the Batumi Conference.
Mikheil Janelidze focused on the existing successful relations between Georgia and the Visegrad Group and underlined the importance of the assistance rendered to Georgia by the Group in the frames of co-operation with the Eastern Partnership countries, according to MFA of Georgia.
The Minister thanked the Visegrad Group for Georgia’s active support and for the assistance projects carried out under the aegis of the Visegrad Fund.
The sides expressed their hope that the co-operation with Georgia will strengthen during the Polish Presidency of the Visegrad Group.
The representatives of the Visegrad Group, in turn, reaffirmed their unequivocal support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and for the integration with the European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
Deputy Foreign Minister Gigi Gigiadze also attended the working meeting with the Visegrad Group.
