The FINANCIAL — On 26 May, the Georgian Foreign Minister, Mikheil Janelidze held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development – GUAM, Altai Efendiev.
The sides discussed main issues on the GUAM agenda, focusing on the areas of co-operation where there is potential for the implementation of joint projects, according to MFA of Georgia.
The Georgian Foreign Minister underlined the importance Georgia attaches to political, as well as sectoral co-operation within the frames of the GUAM. The role of the GUAM Secretariat in terms of promoting the Organization internationally was also highlighted.
The GUAM Secretary General thanked the Georgian side for invitation to Georgia and reaffirmed his readiness to promote co-operation among the GUAM Member States at the institutional level.
The GUAM Secretary General paid a visit to Tbilisi as part of the celebrations dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the restoration of Georgia’s independence.
