The FINANCIAL — On 9 March 2016, Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze met U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly, according to MFA of Georgia.
Discussions focused on the main priorities of the U.S.-Georgia Strategic Partnership and on Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration agenda.
Talking points, also, included the preparations for the NATO Summit in Warsaw and on the significance of engagement of the U.S. and partner countries in Georgia’s political support and in achieving tangible results.
Mikheil Janelidze and Ian Kelly also underlined the importance of exchanging high-level visits that will promote the enhancement of the strategic partnership between their two countries. In this context, the upcoming visit of the Georgian Foreign Minister to Washington was particularly underlined. During the visit, Mikheil Janelidze will meet high-ranking officials of the U.S. executive and legislative branches and think tank representatives.
