The FINANCIAL — Georgian Foreign Minister Tamar Beruchashvili took part in the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers held on 13-14 May 2015 in Antalya, Turkey, according to MFA Georgia.
Tamar Beruchashvili delivered a speech at the meeting held in the frames of the new NATO-led Resolute Support Mission (RSM) in Afghanistan. The Georgian Minister underlined the readiness of Georgia to contribute to the global security and to share its experience with Afghanistan in implementation of the successful institutional reforms.
On the sidelines of the meeting of the NATO Foreign Ministers, Tamar Beruchashvili has held about 20 meetings with her counterparts from Great Britain, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Montenegro, Australia, Italy, Canada, the Czech Republic, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Belgium. The Georgian Minister also met U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and Commander of the Resolute Support Mission, General John Campbell.
Talking points included Georgia’s integration with NATO, assistance of partner countries in implementation of the substantial NATO package offered to Georgia and preparatory works for the NATO Summit in Warsaw. The Foreign Ministers also discussed main directions of co-operation between their countries.
At the meeting with the European colleagues, Tamar Beruchashvili has the opportunity to discuss the issues regarding the Eastern Partnership Riga Summit.
