The FINANCIAL — Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze visited Strasbourg to hold meetings with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland and members of the European Parliament, according to MFA of Georgia.
At the meeting with Thorbjørn Jagland, the issues of co-operation between Georgia and the Council of Europe will be discussed. Special emphasis will be put on the difficult human rights situation in Georgia’s occupied regions.
At the meeting with the representatives of various factions of the European Parliament and committees of the Parliament, the Georgian Foreign Minister will focus on the implementation of the European integration agenda, on the need to enhance co-operation with the European Parliament in this process, on the current democratic reforms in Georgia and on security environment in the region.
