The FINANCIAL — Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili attended the reception held to mark the 20th anniversary of neutrality and the 24th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan. The reception, which was hosted by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia Dovletmyrat Muratov, was also attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia and representatives of international organisations.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili addressed the attending audience, focusing on the existing partnership between Georgia and Turkmenistan, according to MFA of Georgia.
“We remain fully determined to enhance our relations and to develop co-operation in all spheres. Opening of Turkmenistan’s Embassy in Georgia in 2014 is a vivid example of the fact that we are entering a new phase that will bring our bilateral relations to a new level”, Giorgi Kvirikashvili said.
The Georgian Minister thanked the President of Turkmenistan for unequivocal support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Ambassador, in turn, focused on the increasing bilateral relations between the two countries in different spheres and underlined the great importance of enhancing co-operation in the transportation and energy spheres.
