The FINANCIAL — On 11 November 2015, Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held an introductory meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Jordan to Georgia (with residence in Baku) Nassar I. Habashneh.
At the meeting, Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Nassar I. Habashneh discussed current issues on the agenda of co-operation and focused on prospects for further enhancing co-operation between the two countries. The Foreign Minister and the Ambassador expressed the readiness to intensify relations in different directions and to make maximum use of a huge potential for development of co-operation between their two countries. The sides agreed to continue work in order to hold the next round of political consultations between the Georgian and Jordanian Foreign Ministries that will promote the intensification of co-operation in different spheres.
Discussions also focused on the security challenges in the region and the world as a whole. Giorgi Kvirikashvili underlined the important role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in insuring peace and security in the Middle East, according to MFA of Georgia.
Nassar I. Habashneh reaffirmed Jordan’s unequivocal support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders.
