The FINANCIAL — In the frames of the working visit to Brussels, Georgian Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili met Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, according to MFA of Georgia.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Johannes Hahn focused on the implementation of the Association Agreement and on the assistance rendered by the EU in this process, emphasising the importance of completing the Visa Liberalisation process. Johannes Hahn positively assessed the progress Georgia has achieved within a short period of time and expressed his hope that this process will be completed successfully. The two sides underlined that the effective Visa Liberalisation process will be yet another step towards Georgia’s European integration and will facilitate the strengthening of people-to-people contacts.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Johannes Hahn also discussed the stability and security environment in Georgia, underlining the necessity of greater involvement of the EU in this process. The European Commissioner gave a positive assessment to the progress in implementing the Association Agenda by Georgia and expressed his readiness to promote Georgia’s further political association and economic integration with the EU.
