The FINANCIAL — Tbilisi’s largest trade centres are becoming the most frequently visited places for Christmas shopping. Successful companies oriented at net expansion have opened shops at the city’s biggest trade centres like: Megaline and GTC or the largest hypermarket Goodwill. Each of them are running their own New Year promotions at their shops which in the end turns into a large fun Christmas shopping show at the particular trade centre these shops are located at.
“The actual aim of opening stores at trade centres is a part of the company’s advertising campaign as in terms of financial feedback these stores are less effective compared to ones located in the centre of the city. A minimum number of remaining stock products are sold at our Megaline store for a huge discount and hence are sold out in a very short period of time. As for GTC, we have highly expensive offers and the same is true of Goodwill as well,” noted Roland Javakhia, Roniko founder.
Shopping-entertaining centre Megaline was settled in 2004 on 15 December and after that has been open for customers every day. Megaline is the first commercial centre in Georgia which includes more than 100 shops, cafes, several banks, and kids entertainment centres.
“In January 2008 Ici Paris will open its third beauty centre in the newly launched shop at 33 Chavchvadze Ave. One more new shop will also be opened at the Goodwill hypermarket,” said Tea Modebadze, Ici Paris Marketing Manager.
