The FINANCIAL — Astellas Pharma Inc. on July 16 announced that Masafumi Nogimori, Representative Director and Chairman of Astellas, has been honored by King William-Alexander with the Royal Netherlands decoration of ‘Officer in the Order of Oranje-Nassau.
Astellas has been operating its business in the Netherlands for a long period of time. This prestigious decoration was awarded in recognition of Astellas’ long-term contribution to the economic development of the Netherlands and Japan, as well as local communities, according to Astellas.
The award ceremony was held on July 16, 2015, at the residence of the Netherlands Ambassador in Tokyo, and the award was presented to Masafumi Nogimori by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Radinck J. van Vollenhoven.
In expressing his profound gratitude, Masafumi Nogimori said, “I am delighted that our long-term commitment as Astellas and as Yamanouchi and Fujisawa, the two former companies of Astellas, to the Netherlands is recognized. We will continue to contribute to further development of the economy and society in the Netherlands and Japan.”
