The FINANCIAL — On 4 May 2015, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania met Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament Ronald Kiandee and members of the Malaysian Parliamentary delegation, according to MFA Georgia.
Participants of the meeting discussed the existing relations between Georgia and Malaysia, possibilities to develop co-operation in the spheres of economy, culture, education and people-to people relations and focused on the need to develop co-operation between the Georgian and Malaysian Parliaments.
David Jalagania underlined that Georgia attaches particular importance to the development of friendly relations with the Southeast Asia countries that was demonstrated by opening of the Georgian Embassy in Malaysia in 2013.
In the frames of the visit, the Malaysian Parliamentary delegation held meetings with Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia David Usupashvili and members of the Georgia-Malaysia Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group. Meetings will be also held at different line Ministries.
The Malaysian delegation visited Georgia on 3 May and will stay in the country until 8 May.
