The FINANCIAL — On 25 February 2015, the political consultations were held between the Foreign Ministries of Georgia and Turkmenistan, according to MFA of Georgia.
The Georgian delegation included the Deputy Foreign Minister, Davit Jalagania and the representatives of the Department for Relations with the Neighbouring Countries and Regions, the Department of the International Economic Relations and the Department of the International Organisations of the Foreign Ministry. Whereas the Turkmen side was represented by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Vepa Khadjiev and by a representative of the Department of the European Countries of the Foreign Ministry. The consultations were also attended by the Turkmen Ambassador to Georgia and the Georgian Ambassador to Turkmenistan.
The delegations reaffirmed the strong mutual support for the countries’ territorial integrity and sovereignty, discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral and multilateral co-operation, including the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian issues. Talking points also included the future prospects and development of mutually beneficial co-operation. The delegations underlined the need to continue the dialogue at the high and the highest levels, according to MFA of Georgia.
The delegations exchanged their views regarding the international and regional relations and underlined the need to enhance further the co-operation between their two countries.
