The FINANCIAL — The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun and Forbes Travel Guide on February 22 unveiled its annual Star Rating list, naming The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun as a new Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Recommended hotel. The Cancun luxury resort garnered this prestigious recognition upon its very first time entering into consideration, adding to many renowned accolades the resort has received upon its opening in 1993.
Situated on more than 1,200 feet of sparkling sand overlooking the Caribbean Sea, The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun is known as one of the most iconic, luxury resorts along Mexico’s world famous Mayan coastline. The 363-room hotel offers a variety of luxury travel amenities and experiences to meet the needs of every traveler including a full service spa inspired by ancient Mayan culture, a private beach club, an interactive Ritz Kids program which helps to introduce young travelers to the rich cultural traditions of Mexico, an award winning Culinary Center featuring interactive cooking classes for groups large and small, and nine innovative dining outlets, including two widely acclaimed AAA Five Diamond Award dining experiences – The Club Grill and Fantino restaurant, according to Marriott.
“We are thrilled to be amongst the recipients of such an elite and global recognition,” said David Cayuela, general manager. “The hotel’s continued commitment to extraordinary service speaks to the very foundation of The Ritz-Carlton culture and the authentic spirit of hospitality for which Mexico is known around the world,” he added.
The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun is the latest addition to the luxury travel ratings that have been the gold standard in the hospitality industry since 1958.
“Our Star Ratings recognize the finest hotels, restaurants and spas in the world. These ratings serve as the most authoritative guideposts for guests seeking exceptional travel experiences. Our primary mission is to contribute to excellence in hospitality, serving the global tourism industry as well as the guest,” said Gerard J. Inzerillo, Chief Executive Officer of Forbes Travel Guide. “We’re proud to be associated with the new additions to our global list.”
