The FINANCIAL — According to abc.az., the foreign contractors for development at Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field block (Azerbaijan International Operating Company; AIOC) in Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea are not ready to resume oil deliveries via Baku-Supsa pipeline.
BP Azerbaijan as a project technical operator informed that no new decisions regarding Baku-Supsa have been made.
“No operations are conducted at the pipeline” BP Azerbaijan informed.
AIOC stopped oil delivery via Baku-Supsa resumed in May after a 18-month repairs from August 12 because of the events in Georgia. At the same day Shah Deniz gas condensate field development partnership interrupted gas deliveries via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (South Caucasian Pipeline, SCP), but abolished the decision on August 14.
Stoppage of operating activity meant in practice reduction of production of oil at ACG and gas at Shah Deniz and ceasing of oil and gas pumping into the above-mentioned pipelines. At the same time consumers could receive hydrocarbons that have been pumped into the pipelines before their operation halting.
In July daily oil production at ACG exceeded 905,000 bpd and was diminished after August 6 following the fire on Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. Gas production at Shah Deniz in July reached 25 million cu m of gas and 48,800 tons of condensate.
Capacity of Baku-Supsa capacity is 150,000 bpd and SCP up to 22 bn cu m a year.
