Tim Bailey appointed Chief Risk Officer Global Life

The FINANCIAL — Zurich Financial Services Group announces the appointment of Tim Bailey (38, British citizen) to the position of Chief Risk Officer Global Life, with immediate effect.


Mr. Bailey, currently Head of Strategy Global Life, succeeds Nick Burnet who has been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer Global Life, as previously announced. In his new position, Mr. Bailey will be responsible for the early identification and mitigation of risk issues and will lead Global Life’s network of local Risk Officers. According to Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, he will report to Kevin Hogan, CEO Global Life, and Axel Lehmann, Chief Risk Officer of Zurich and Regional Chairman of Europe, and be based in Zurich.

Mr. Bailey joined Zurich in 1998 and held various senior positions in Finance and Strategy. From April 2010 until now he has been Head of Strategy Global Life. Mr. Bailey holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Exeter and is chartered accountant.
