The FINANCIAL — The total budget of the Tbilisi Open Air Festival which was held on Shardeni and Ipodromi during 15-17 May in Georgia was GEL 2,093,900, from which GEL 100,000 was covered by the sponsors of the festival. The other part was financed by the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Monument Protection of Georgia.
GEL 360,000 was invested in the festival’s infrastructure, which includes European types of stage and lighting which will stay in the country and will be available for usage in Georgia for the purpose of holding festivals or concerts.
In terms of the festival, the sum paid to the state budget was GEL 478,181. GEL 198,440 was allocated to Georgian personnel wages.
For the 20 companies which were involved in organizing and running the festival, a staff force of about 350 was employed. The sum paid for by these companies was GEL 738,957.
The total honours for the 6 Georgian bands which took part in the festival was GEL 20,274 and for the 18 foreign bands, their travel and hotel expenses included, was GEL 136,353.
A full length movie is going to be prepared about the Tbilisi Open Air Festival, with the help of Public Broadcaster. People will be able to see this film first on Public Broadcaster but this film will be able to be seen on different foreign channels and will support the popularity of the festival and the country’s overall cultural popularity. The total cost of the film is GEL 161,695 and half of it will be covered by the material-technical base of Public Broadcaster.
Because of the festival, the country was visited by more than 20 leading mass media like REUTERS , LIBERATION, CORRIERE DELLA SERA, The Times , NUOVEL OBSERVER and so on. Nearly 50 articles were written about the festival and 70 plots were announced to the audience about the festival.
According to the information received by different sources the festival was attended by over 50,000 people. The festival had 16 sponsors and 8 media partners.
