The FINANCIAL — The Civil Aviation Safety and Security Project implemented in the framework of the EU-funded TRACECA programme, with the aim of improving transport safety and security environments in line with European civil aviation standards, has held its closing session in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Bringing together all country representatives involved in the project, the session highlighted the project’s achievements in the period 2012-2015. In addition, the project website was presented to participants where relevant data and a summary of all activities can be found, according to EU Neighbourhood Info.
All the country representatives also reported their views on the project and gave the situation in their countries.
TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) is an international transport cooperation programme between the EU and its Partner countries in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia. It has a permanent Secretariat in Baku, Azerbaijan. The cooperation framework covers the areas of maritime transport, aviation, road and rail, transport security, and transport infrastructure.
