The FINANCIAL — Transat is pleased to announce the appointment of David Mounteer as Vice-President and General Manager of Jonview Canada, Canada’s leading incoming tour operator. Mr. Mounteer will assume his new duties on November 16, at Jonview Canada’s Toronto head office.

His knowledge, skills and customer-centric approach are assets we will be able to rely on to continue to develop our company and manage our experienced team.”
During the past decade, Mr. Mounteer has served as General Manager of three luxury boutique hotels: The Thompson Toronto and The Hazelton Hotel, also in Toronto, as well as the Auberge Saint-Antoine in Quebec City, where he earned the distinction Hotelier of the Year for 2009 in the Pinnacle Awards. David previously worked for 15 years with the Fairmont hotels organization, including as Director, Food and Beverage, at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in La Malbaie, Quebec, and Director, Conference Services and Catering, at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Carleton University in Ottawa, according to Transat.
Mr. Mounteer takes over from Andrew Lind, who has decided to tackle new challenges after 15 years with Jonview Canada.
