The FINANCIAL — The TransferJet Consortium will be exhibiting at "CEATEC JAPAN 2011" (October 4-8, 2011) held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City, on the outskirts of Tokyo.
At the booth exhibit, the TransferJet Consortium members will be demonstrating products, prototypes, components, semiconductors, software, test equipment and certification programs associated with the TransferJet ecosystem. Visitors will be able to experience the unique world of "touch transfer" and the possibilities offered by this wireless technology. Registered as a Japanese incorporated association on September 1st (previously a private industry group), the TransferJet Consortium will be strengthening its activities to develop and promote the TransferJet specifications.
Consortium Overview
The consortium will present its overall activities including international standardization efforts and future technical development plans. Ecma International approved TransferJet as a close proximity wireless communications standard at its recent General Assembly in June.
Product Demonstrations
It will demonstrate TransferJet wireless technology through its member’s products which employ the technology. This includes transferring photos between cameras, sending photos to printers, storing content on network servers, and displaying pictures on TVs and picture frames. Also shown will be future service concepts, including content downloading from kiosks to mobile phones and bookstores with cyber shelves handling both printed copies for perusal and electronic versions for purchase.
