The FINANCIAL — The Tokyo Stock Exchange announced on april 18 that it will change work hours for non-trading employees and take other power-saving steps during summer months.
"In addition to conserving electricity on lighting and air conditioning, the bourse will shut its doors to visitors and cancel investment seminars during the July-September period. Work hours for employees not involved in trading services will change from 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. to 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Trading hours will remain the same," Nikkei informed.
In the corresponding period of last year, the TSE had about 16,000 visitors and 7,600 seminar participants.
