The FINANCIAL — Within the frames of the Tbilisi Belt & Road Forum, the Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communication of Turkey, Ahmet Arslan talked about the expedience of engaging other Belt & Road initiative countries in the intermediate corridor projects, according to Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
“We are building tunnels and bridges and this is the task we have. Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, – yes, we do cooperate in terms of corridor but this cooperation should not be limited to only these three countries. We need this cooperation to expand and engage other countries along the belt,” – Ahmad Arslan stated in his speech at the Transport Infrastructure panel of the Tbilisi Belt and Road Forum
Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of Turkey spoke about the necessity of deepening economic and political cooperation for the implementation of the intermediate corridor projects. He emphasized the importance of the reforms implemented by Turkey, which the neighboring countries can benefit from. “Turkey is the leading country in the geography of the Silk Road. We are not limiting opportunities only until our country, we are implementing such a financial model that will attract not only Turkish but the private sector of the entire region” – Ahmad Arslan noted.
