The FINANCIAL — Turkmenistan started the harvesting campaign of wheat, informed the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources on June 4, according to APK Inform.
In the current year, the country plans to harvest 1.6 mln tonnes of wheat throughout the areas of 860 thsd ha, including Ahal province – 450 thsd tonnes, Mary province – 380 thsd tonnes, Lebap province – 350 thsd tonnes, Dasoguz province – 300 thsd tonnes, and Balkan province – 120 thsd tonnes.
Since 2011, Turkmenistan began exporting surpluses of harvested wheat volumes.
