The FINANCIAL — Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who is a candidate in this year's presidential elections, has said that she is ready to challenge the results of the elections in the courts.
Tymoshenko was speaking on the Channel 5 television station.
"If falsification is uncovered, if we are unable to hold back part of the sell-out CEC, if we are unable to protect honest results and we have proof that there is falsification, then we will be in court," Tymoshenko said.
At the same time, added that the legitimacy of the results of the presidential elections should be confirmed by the choice of the people.
According to Tymoshenko, the possibility of falsification of the results of the elections remains because of the Central Electoral Commission's decision to simplify the procedures for voting at home.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Kyiv Administrative Appeal court has refused to declare illegal the Central Electoral Commission's decision that sates that voters do not need to submit documents confirming temporary loss of mobility before they can vote outside polling stations. According to the decision, it is sufficient for a voter to file the relevant application.
