The FINANCIAL — The U.S. Chamber of Commerce on March 31 announced Tim Day as vice president of its Center for Advanced Technology & Innovation (CATI). In this position Day will work to emphasize the role of technology in our economy and will utilize resources to highlight emerging technology and promote rational policy solutions that spur innovation and create jobs.
“I am excited to have Tim join the expanding Center for Advanced Technology & Innovation,” said CATI President Amanda Eversole. “With more than 15 years of experience in tech policy, and a proven track record of success in public policy advocacy, Tim will be instrumental as CATI continues to concentrate on shaping practical policies that support cutting edge innovation and new technology both domestically and around the world.”
Day joins the Chamber from Teradata, where as vice president of Government Affairs he coordinated and developed public policy advocacy agendas and communicated with key government decision-makers on Capitol Hill and within the executive branch, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
“Much like the field we represent, CATI is growing and Tim will help lead the way as we focus on helping the tech sector tackle issues such as access to talent and capital, global competitiveness, and emerging issues,” Eversole continued.
Prior to his role at Teradata, Day served as vice president of Government Affairs for NCR Corporation, was chief of staff to Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (R-OH), legislative director to Congressman David Hobson (R-OH), and legislative assistant to Congressman Joe Barton (R-TX).
