The FINANCIAL — As of November 12, 2010 the winter sowings faced good and satisfactory conditions.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of the reporting date according to data from the regions, the general areas of 8.2 mln ha of winter grain sowing areas faced appearance of seedlings throughout 7.89 mln ha or 96% of the sowing areas, including 3.8 mln ha (49%) – the good condition, 3.3 mln ha (42%) – the satisfactory condition, 0.7 mln ha (9%) – the weak and thinned condition.
Rapeseed sowing areas (throughout 1 mln ha) faced the seedlings throughout 99% of the sowing areas, including 0.5 mln ha of the sowings (50%) facing the good condition, 0.4 mln ha (37%) – the satisfactory condition, 0.1 mln ha (13%) – the weak and thinned condition.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy also noted that at the end of October and the first decade of December, the sowings faced the satisfactory agricultural meteorological terms for vegetation of winter crops.
