The FINANCIAL — In Ukraine, agricultural crops were sowed throughout the general areas of 26.7 mln ha for the harvest-2010, including agrarian enterprises – throughout 18.8 mln ha (70.3% from the general areas), enterprises of the population – throughout 7.9 mln ha (29.7% from the general areas), announced the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine on July 15.
Ukraine sowed grains throughout 15.1 mln ha, the sowing areas decreased by 4.5% compared to the previous year results. Therefrom, milling grains were sowed throughout 7.1 mln ha, including wheat – 6.4 mln ha, rye – 287 thsd ha.
The country sowed feed grains throughout the areas of 8.02 mln ha, including barley – 4.5 mln ha, maize – 2.73 mln ha.
Technical crops were sowed throughout 7.13 mln ha, including sunflower for grain – 4.4 mln ha, rapeseed – 906.5 thsd ha, soybean – 1.07 mln ha.
According to data of the State Statistics Committee, winter sowings for grain, which the country sowed in the autumn for 2010 harvest, perished throughout 1.366 mln ha (13.4% from the general sowing area as opposed to 5.2% last year).
