The FINANCIAL — As of July 2, 2010, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) harvested 18% of early grains sowing areas, declared the Ministry of the Agrarian Policy of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Extremely unfavorable weather conditions, formed on the peninsula from June 21 and as of the present time – abundant precipitations, storms, hold the progress rate of the harvesting campaign. The precipitation damaged grain sowings, provoked weed growing, which brings difficulties to harvesting works and leads to grain losses, impairs grain wheat quality, stated the Ministry.
As a reminder, in the current year agricultural producers of Crimea started the harvesting campaign of early grains on June 15th.
