The FINANCIAL — In October, Ukraine exported nearly 2 mln tonnes of grain as opposed to 2.8 mln tonnes in September, declared Juriy Melnik, the Minister of Agrarian Policy.
But Ukraine almost does not have any foreign economic contracts for grain exports for December and January period, that is why our country should make more active sales to domestic consumers, noticed he during the scientific-practical conference in Poltava on October 31.
Earlier the Ministry forecasted the level of grain exports from Ukraine in this MY at the level of 22.6 mln tonnes.
During the current MY, the world market meets decreasing of demand and prices for grains due to rise of offers and the financial crisis.
