The FINANCIAL — In the current year, the general grain production in Ukraine will total nearly 59-60 mln tonnes, announced the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine, Oleksiy Pavlenko during his speech at the Ukrainian Agrarian Congress in Kiev, on October 15.
According to him, the drought effects of the summer and spring will not be critical for the grain industry in Ukraine, so the country will receive rather good harvest.
Taking into account the expected production volumes, in the current season grain exports from Ukraine will vary within the range of 35-36 mln tonnes.
Also, the Minister noted that to date the agro-industrial complex is the single sector of Ukraine’s economy, which effectively develops the mechanism of deregulation. The reporting process will allow increasing provision of finances in 1.6 times compared with the previous year.
O.Pavlenko noted that the policy of deregulation in the agricultural sector will continue working. In particular, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy has a joint program with the Ministry of Infrastructure for establishment of “one-stop-shop service”, which would save nearly 8 bln UAH for business at the port charges only.
